But I was raised on junk food and sitcoms. When that lifestyle caught up to me in midlife and I started gaining weight, I felt completely out of control.
I thought I knew what to do. But when I would try to diet, my cravings would get the best of me and I would binge.
If was able to white knuckle through a diet, I would regain anything I lost the minute I stopped the diet.
After obsessing about women’s metabolism and behavior change, I was finally able to lose weight without putting my life on hold.

Nikki makes confusing topics easy to understand and implement.
I was struggling with inflammation, failing to lose weight, and deciding which “diet” was right. I was never able to keep on track with diet plans, let alone workout programs. I hesitated to join because of many past failed attempts.
Oddly enough I decided to do KIO because of the cost. I thought of it as an investment in my health, not a diet plan, which was the first mindset shift of many to come.
In my situation, losing weight would be a bonus, my focus was to naturally reduce the inflammation that I deal with and build healthier habits.
My experience with the program surprised me. As the weeks went on, I realized that I was focused less on diet habits such as deprivation and more on how foods made me feel or react with my body, stress levels, and sleep habits.
