In this episode, I break down the pros and cons of these meds. Plus, the exit strategy that's being missed by far too many people. Whether you decide to take them or not, there are ways to approach it intentionally. So your future self isn't paying the price and ending up in worse shape than you started. What You’ll Learn:
I’m GLP-1-agnostic. The “right” choice depends on your goals, timeline, health status, and willingness to change habits—not internet morality.
Results vs. cost. Anything can help you “get the job done”—but every tool has trade-offs (side effects, cost, and what happens when you stop).
Rapid loss isn’t free. Fast weight loss (with or without meds) usually means more muscle loss and a bigger metabolic hit.
Protect your muscle. Prioritize protein + strength training during any cut to preserve lean mass and keep metabolism from tanking.
Have an exit plan. If you won’t stay on meds forever, go slower, don’t max out doses, keep calories adequate, and train—so you’re not stuck regaining on “normal” healthy eating.
Eyes on your paper. If you’re losing 1–2 lb/week, feeling strong, and labs look good—don’t let someone else’s timeline bully you.
Make it easier—smartly. Use tools that reduce friction (meal prep help, simpler training schedule) without sabotaging long-term outcomes.
